21st CCLC

OPEL partners with schools, community organizations, and agencies statewide to strengthen all out-of-school time (OST) programs, including those funded through the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) program. 21st CCLC program plays a vital role in this work by establishing and expanding community learning centers that offer students academic enrichment opportunities and engaging activities that complement their regular school-day learning.

These centers provide tutoring, mentoring, homework help, and hands-on enrichment in areas such as science, technology, the arts, sports, and cultural learning—creating well-rounded opportunities for growth.
